My whole family doesnt feel safe anymore since Obama became president. Since then we have gone back to conducting safety drills. When i sound the alarm (a cowbell) our family has been practicing running and hiding under the dining room table.

We are less safe since Bush left, fact. And we deserve to feel safe from terrorists who hate us for our freedoms, fact.

No. I think we're safer - you can never trade down by getting a smarter person in charge.

If it wasn't for Bush you wouldn't have to feel unsafe.

p.s. The dining room table isn't going to do much.

I thought as Americans we were only supposed to fear, fear itself?

Even if terrorists were able to pull off one attack per year on the scale of the 9/11 atrocity, that would mean your one-year risk would be one in 100,000 and your lifetime risk would be about one in 1300. (300,000,000 ÷ 3,000 = 100,000 ÷ 78 years = 1282) In other words, your risk of dying in a plausible terrorist attack is much lower than your risk of dying in a car accident, by walking across the street, by drowning, in a fire, by falling, or by being murdered.

I mean this in the most constructive way possible, stop allowing your mind to be a TV garbage disposal. The media has lied to you about everything from the WMDs to the state of the economy and now you are buying into some fear mongering manipulation. Turn off the TV and WAKE UP!

Has anyone ever considered that our government lied to us and the real war is against the people's liberties? That the false flag operation of 'The war on Terror' is just a tool for that purpose...

I feel unsafe for many reasons.

The terrorist "talks" are a joke. Any "contract" to stop terroism will be a joke. Just wait. We will get a "contract".

He is taking the the freedom movement in America backwards. He is making it worse. Racism is on the rise. As a black woman I am getting more flack than at anytime during my 48 yrs.

Bush didn't LET 9/11 happen and he didn't Prevent any other attacks. They all operate below the radar thats how these things happen. Use common sense here.
