Do you feel as if you are controlled by the US media, especially regarding political...

no- I like to sort through all of it and make my own decisions. There's so much diversity between Fox and MSNBC those two could only "control" if you just listened to one or the other. I listen to both, and they sorta cancel each other out (although I find Fox to be far more persistent- and there's annoying fact that they actually use the word News" as part of their name!) It's hard to not be "influenced" by all of them, although I feel that some of the influence is the opposite of what the talking heads intend. Case in point- I almost always am amazed at the obvious agenda of Hannity, and almost always end up on the opposite side of his rants.

BBC and NPR are far more reliable sources of actual news, and CSPAN goes completely unfiltered, which is cool but tedious. At least there is no over the top "reporting bias" there.

I feel that they try to spoonfeed me like a baby rather than fully inform me of the issues at hand. They also choose to ignore and berate things that many people are interested in, such as UFO reports.

No, not since I've stopped reading newspapers and watching newscasts produced by the liberal mainstream media. We live in a wonderful age where liberals no longer have a monopoly on our news.

any "media" just tells you what "they" want you to hear, it's all about ratings and not facts.. Mark twain said something like: "If you don't listen to the media you are uninformed, and if you do, you are misinformed."

When I want to watch political news. I switch between MSNBC, FOX, and CNN (changing channels when the commercials start). Its interesting, and it helps me form more informed opinions.
