Do you experience an increase in stamina, while playing sports or doing athletics?

By stamina, I mean how much you can do in a day and how much you sleep. So, before tennis practice started probably 3 weeks ago, I had slept more in the summer, and I'm pretty sure I had less stamina. Before that in the school year, last year, I had to sleep more. But now that I am very busy with tennis and school, I end up going to bed at about 11 or even 12 on school nights and get up at 6. I usually get 9-11 hours of sleep. Getting 6-7 hours of sleep hasn't affected me like it has before. Before, I have been really tired. Now, not so much. Btw, I've been in school for 4 days now.

I usually only get like 4-6 hours of sleep and I'm fine doing sports and being in school. I usually get home from practice/games around 6 or sometimes as late as 10, if we have an away game. It's usually about 2:00 when I finish my homework. Then, I wake up at 7 and do it all over again. It definately takes it's toll, but I guess I've gotten used to it over time because it doesn't seem to tire me out as much as it used to.
