Do you ever think sometimes, whats the point of arguing a point to people?

sometimes pointing out an obvious dumb decision on someones part, is met with blatant stupidity. I just wonder in a day like this is it worth the effort to even say anything to these people? The stupidity isn't a once in a while sort of deal, it seems like a through the week thing(same people just about)
