Do you ever feel like

Then why do you feel like having money and the like would have changed your life? Changes do not come from things, they come from perception.

Where did I say it would?

Im just trying to say that for all I've accomplished I dont have much to show for it in my general state of mind.

Well then you lost track somewhere. When you decided to go back to school, I'm assuming you picked courses that would open doors for you to later move into a certain career.

If I understand correctly, you are still in school. Have things changed so that now you can't see yourself pursuing the same career that you chose when you started post-secondary schooling?

If you picked a certain career, and if you are still aiming for that, then just pick yourself up and keep going! Life sucks and seems really shitty sometimes, but you have to pick yourself out of the dumps and decide to keep going. Sometimes "all I've accomplished" doesn't actually show results until you work through everything and and can actually use your accomplishments to better yourself.

OMFG!!! both of you are acting like you in jounior high again!! i mean come on. Yes........ BOTH of you have some good points and some bad ones. But seriously, is it nessicary for al of this shit?

I couldn't agree more. If your unhappy/depressed/hurt and you just continually push it aside, just go to work, pretend to be happy, come home, go to bed and do it all again, your life will seem pointless. It got to that point for me, where i was pretending for so long, and i just couldnt do it anymore. You need to deal with issues as they come up. Own your feelings, whatever they may be. Identify what the problem is or what you want to change in your life, work out a solution, and do it. If you need to be depressed for a day, a week, a month, do it. But then move on.

The reason you get these feelings is your heart and intuition trying to tell you that it wants something more. If you ignore the feelings you ignore the chance to better yourself.

And there is more to life than cars and guitars. Not that they arent important but you should feel like you have more to offer and more to gain from life than these.

This is going far beyond the scope of the the original post and Im definitely not going into details but I think a lot of it is because I spent a long time not being in control of the things I needed to change. LONG LONG story, and I dont want to go into it. You live and you learn...

Like I said, I got tired of fighting for her when she wasnt making me happy, AT ALL, and I finally just gave up.

A year and a half... wasted.

I guess this is really more of a "my girl left me" thread in disguise. But when I look back it is my fault for letting it get to this point anyway. I should have cut my losses a year ago. We'd have both been better off.

Is it necessary for you to post this as your first post?

Read the rules. Read the forums. Get to know people. Don't use this as your personal pissing grounds.

Don't respond to this either.

Carry on fine people. :)
