i've heard some stories, which made me totally believe the victims were right, and that the experience was disastrous for their life, but for some people i just wonder.
i just assume that the same sorts of things that cause people to deceive themselves and distort things, and exploit things for personal benefit, would not just turn off because they become victims.
one thing i wonder about, is when they go and talk about their lives as if the moment of victimization is an accurate way to explain so much in their life. to me, it's true, universally, that human beings remember probably less than 1% of their own life, and the most of it gets totally forgotten. how am i supposed to believe somebody when they act like they're life is totally clear to them?
