Do you consider chatting and cybering someone from a chat room "dating"?

Just wondering because I notice a lot of ppl "dating" in chat rooms and talking about cybering each other? WTF? Do you guys think it's the same thing and what kind of ppl enjoy this type of thing? Thanks
But what if they consider it a real relationship?
I don't suppose there is anything wrong with it if you don't mind living in a world where the mountains are made of gumdrops and everybody sings out of their butts all day!
 
That's not dating, it's like living in a fantasy world to me. Honestly, I find people who consider themselves in a relationship with a screen name that they'll never meet to be quite pathetic. I don't think there is anything wrong with meeting and finding dates online or even flirting, but if you've never met the person then you are not dating.
