the earth is 4 billion years old.
it's 100,000 light/radio years across the galaxy.
it's 2m light/radio years to the closest galaxy.
that's probably a very good thing.
keep in mind, we got where we are by killing off our competition.
every other technological species did the same thing.
that doesn't make for benign beings.
we're really lucky that we're in such a remote part of the galaxy.
