I can't decide whether or not this is true. Usually, the popular novels (by "popular" I don't mean Twilight or Harry Potter level-I mean the kind which most serious writers know about, but if you asked some teenager about them, you'd probably get a "Huh"? For example, Prince of Tides) are pretty good. Even if you don't like them, you can at least see why others do.

On the other hand, there are many great writers and novels that go practically unheard of. It seems unfair.

Do you think that if a novel is truly well-written and interesting, it will soon get at least some acknowledgment?

well it depends on the people reading the novel. I'd say, and this is because of the way life is, that good novels would not really get extremely recognized and well-known, because most people look for other things, rather than quality, like, for example, romance and teenager stuff, etc.

But I believe that they will be appreciated by those who enjoy and look out for good books. So yeah, no matter how few people may know and appreciate them, they will be appreciated(:

If the writer is truly good and manages to get into a competent publishing house, it is more likely for them to get the recognition they deserve.
