Do you believe that putting down peoples beliefs is fun?

Hi
Look I know everybody has thier own faith and opinions, and its great to see that but when people go to and slander peoples beliefs and online, it hurts people. I convetrted to the Church of jesus Christ of latter day saints two years ago, and met my husband through this church, its a wonderful church with many good people, who are so kind and wonderful. Religion is the hardest topics to prove or disprove, nobody really knows whats going to happen after we pass on, so give others a break.over thier beliefs okay? :)
 
it is fun here on R&S, but most people who do that here behave completely different in real life. Here nobody cares about nothing
 
no i believe its wrong, that is why there is so much turmoil between people...people need to accept other peoples beliefs as long as they dint interfere with another persons life
 
I'm not trying to hurt anyone, but we have to be honest. As humans, integrity is all we really have. If someone tries to tell me something that's obviously wrong, I have to correct them.
 
It's not 'fun', but it is enjoyable to express your convictions. I wish you all the best in whatever you do, but I have to say, in converting to the Latter Day Saints, you have joined the most contrived religion (apart from Scientology) EVER created. I have no doubt that the folks are just fine, but the stuff they believe in has absolutely no basis except the word of one man who said he found the word of god on some golden plates, which were then conveniently spirited away. He was very clever, but he also had the agenda of sex with multiple women (many a religion has been started on that basis)
I know that is not practised any more, but your founder did stipulate that, and you have to wonder why.
 
I would be willing to give all faiths a break. Except for the ones who pound on my door trying to convert me or to collect cash. Or the faiths that are trying to impose their morality on me through legislation.

Like the Mormons, the Jehovah's Witnesses, and most other Christian faiths.
 
Honey, I live in Utah and am surrounded by Mormons.
When I moved here as a kid there were classmates that weren't even allowed to play with me because I'm not LDS.
Don't preach to me about tolerance.
 
I disagree with the putting down part but just by looking at people those who are really into religion makes me think how stupid and vulnerable they are and makes me laugh. Don't waste your time in life. We all come from the Universe and we are all going back there. There is no such thing as God or heaven or hell. Religion is to fear monger people so that the Religious Institutions can live wealthy on peoples' free money ( donations).Believe in yourself because you are what you think. Everything starts from you but not the other way around.People those who have created religion are real genius capitalists because they have designed the system how to suck money out of peoples' pockets without hurting them.
