have a mental illness? Approximately 1.1% of the US population is schizophrenic. That's around 2.4 million people living in the United States who have Schizophrenia. People with Schizophrenia see things that aren't really there (hallucinate) and hear voices. Sound familiar? I actually think this is a pretty good explanation for ghosts when I got thinking about it.

Could mental illnesses, medication and/or drugs explain the reason that some people see these things?
