Fine, so this person won't have a problem if ALL schools taught let's say Islam instead of Christianity? After all it's a religion...

As for the whole "there would be no morality without religion crap", i'd tell him:
1. Morality is an evolutionary trait
2. Read the Bible. Your God knows NOTHING about morality.
 
Not for the US we decided the rules in advance (called it the Constitution) and we need to stick with the rules.

I suspect this is a quote from some 'evil-doer', as old 43 would have said.
