Do you agree with Obama's re-writing of history?

In his speech to the UN, Obama said that Israel should return to the status it had "before the occupation that began in 1967". Is he re-writing history? The land obtained in 1967 was the direct result of a victory in a war started by Arabs against Israel. Is this the standard that should be applied - legitimate gains of territories should be reversed? If so, shouldn't the US give California, Texas, etc., back to Mexico? What about the countries conquered by the Soviet Union?

Do you agree that Israel should give land to the "Palestinians", who, by the way, were not the ones who waged the war against Israel in the first place?
 
After the Six-Day War, Israel called the West Bank and the Gaza Strip occupied territories, rather than calling that land part of Israel, as it did with the land won in the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. So he's simply speaking the truth.
 
I think that the Arab nations can and should give a huge section of land to Israel. Move the Palestine's to a different location on Arab soil, and stop using this tiny Muslim settlement as an unhealed wound, to create a much larger wound.
 
GWB tried the same Obama is not re-writing. history. He is tryng to bring peace to the middleast.

It rapidly defeated the surrounding Arab states and took control of, among other areas, the Gaza Strip. How is that re writing history. It is you that needs the history lesson. Isreal attacked.
The UN Security Council adopted UN Security Council Resolution 242, the "land for peace" formula, which called for Israeli withdrawal from territories it captured in 1967 in return for peace with its Arab neighbors.

If one truly understand what and who Obama really is, you should know he is just as bad as Carter. The middle east is laughing at Obama...they are laughing at you Obama.

I think your mistaken about who waged war against who.

Palestine was Palestine before it was Israel, Israel came about through terrorism, they started the conflict, not the Palestinians.
