do woman really get paid less than men in America?

in all the jobs I've had the females always got just as much if not more money than the males,except when i was a ranch hand but that's because i did the work of 4 people and got paid only slightly more than everyone else.

so is it true, or is there something wrong with the data? and how long has it been since it was updated?
