Do unions hurt the non-union employees because of their Cadillac health

plans? They pay less in taxes? because most of their income is through health insurance? Therefor non-union workers have to make up for it by tax increases?
 
They have out grown their usefulness in many ways, and the fact they lobbied to stop the private property owner his freedom to build his own home. Unions have crossed the line and no longer will have my support.
 
It is the government, not the unions who are hurting non-union workers. Taxing health insurance to provide universal health care is idiotic.
 
I don't think that is the issue at all...MOST workers, union and non-union usually sacrifice some wages for benefits. You might be interested in knowing that the unions are in an uproar over being taxed on it. Go figure. And most of their income is not in health benefits. Go check out an average salary for a GM worker. It is NOT average.
 
Nope. They may think they do, but anybody who invest a lot of money in health insurance is paying many hidden taxes such as covering people who don't have insurance.

If anything good comes out of the health care bill, maybe unions won't insist their members get the top shelf insurance plans which cost their employers millions. In many industries, the only major difference between union pay and non union pay is the benefits. Those benefits can create a huge difference.
