Do truth based movies and reality TV reflect how stupid people really are, or are

they just an exaggeration? I have noticed that TV certainly does portray human beings of doing really stupid things especially in crisis situations. Even well educated rational people. I really think it is an exaggeration by portraying only the extreme situations, but who knows, maybe it really is an accurate reflection of humanity. What do you think?

I am not sure posted this question in the right category. If anyone has a better suggestion to what category I should place it under, feel free to let me know. :)
I agree that people act different and it is about ratings, but I am beginning to wonder. I have seen too many things in my life personally that people have done really stupid things, that it starts to make you wonder.
