Do they teach martial arts at navy boot camp?

I got sworn in to the navy about 5 months ago and leave for boot camp in october. I was wondering if they teach you any martial arts moves or self defense moves at boot camp? Only serious answers please... Thanks in advance.

I.... Don't think they teach you Karate or anything...

They'll teach you self-defense, yes.

yes they teach forms of self defense. Usually the military teaches a verity of techniques from different martial arts such as: Russian sambo , Harpkido, Brazilian Ju jitsu, judo, ect

Not even, thanks for the laugh though! They teach you folding clothes!

No, the Navy doesn't teach you self-defense. I heard it was the only branch to not teach it, but I may be mistaken.

Any branch of the military service will teach you basic levels (basic is the important word here) of hand-to-hand combat, riflemanship, and rapelling. The hand-to-hand combat is a combination of many types of martial arts. Again, what they teach you is incredibly basic in nature. You won't even have the equivalent of a white belt that's been in for two weeks.
