Do they still do the tear gas chamber in Army Basic Training?

I read some where that at some point during Basic you get fed, and immediately after are stuck in a gas chamber with tear gas and are forced to take your mask off, say something, and then breath in at least some if the gas before you get out.

Is that true? What was it like? Is it weird I want to do it? :P
