Do these lyrics come of sounding a little offensive, or crossing the line for...

...a death quote...? When i was around ten, i lost my best friend to leukemia, i've always had little quotes, or little snippets of something regarding this, and i've just always had a little piece dedicated to him in any profile i've ever had, and i've had a lot of different ones, and i've had the same one for along time, so i was just wondering if anyone thinks that these lyrics are crossing the line... i don't know why i thought they were, but i though it sounded a little disrespectful, but i don't know. The lyrics come from Under The Bridge, By The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and they are "I don't ever wanna feel, like i did that day..." and then the rest of that section, but i though that part sounded a little, I don't know, i can't explain it, but just let me know if you think these are okay lyrics to put into something like that, or if you have any better ideas for memorial/dedication quotes, those will be greatly appreciated.
