I have a 2008 Nissan Quest 3.5S. the battery went dead during the storm and the only keyhole (on the drivers door) is frozen. I need to get the car unlocked so it can be towed out of the city impound lot but we've been trying to get it open with no success. I don't remember which way the lock moves when you unlock it and I need to know so the tow truck driver can do a lock-out. Please help!
I have tried de-icer, heating the key with a lighter, blowing into the lock, and wedging the door open a little to try to jimmy it open. Haven't tried hot water though. Just pour it on the lock?
