Do the 2004 Mazda 3 share the same alternator in the 5sp and Auto?

Yep, the two parts are identical.

The alternator is part of the engine. The transmission is either manual or automatic. The engine is the same for either. There is literally no such thing as a manual or automatic alternator.

I'm shopping for a new alternator, and am wondering if I can use the Manual alternator for my Automatic.
