history, family problems? does giving them medication help them to open up?

are they more secretive?

why so?

Thanks for your answers!

Some have a difficult time doing so because some of their memories from the past are so painful that they rather bury them in the back of their mind. Theres a book and movie called Sybil (spelling ?). It focuses on a woman who is schizo and doesn't realize it until a sound she hears in the park and starts to flash back to childhood. Hope this helps.
(I would disclose more but I don't want to ruin it for you.)

not sure my wife did not speak about her problems she only told me she has been seeing a phyciatrist in canada. She may have underlying problems i am not aware of. But i do not know. My wife cries if i ask her anything and storms off and cannot even speak about her problems.

Schitz does not make you more anxious on its own, but a byproduct of the illness is that you are often more likely to be anxious/depressed.

Yes giving them medication will help them relax in every area of life, including talking about past history.

Yes they will tend to be more secretive - would you go around town telling you you've got that disease? It would make people nervous
(although incidence of crimes by schitzos is low in fact)
