Do Republicans rants and answers undermine them and push them further into irrelevancy?

I really can't see how insulting without answers is going to do much at the polls next election. I do not think the Rush Limbaugh method of hate mongering lifting them out of their doldrums. When asked today about their ideas for the stimulus. Eric Cantor told CNN's John King.."Job Creation" We are for more jobs" Who isn't for more jobs, that is not an answer. When asked how would privatizing the Social Security and investing it in the Stock Market, another idea they had for the stimulus, Eric Cantor never bothered to answer so I guess we will never know that one either. He then asked about the Republicans Three Trillion dollar tax cut to the rich and once again, Eric Cantor stated. "We are for job creation and tax cuts to the high earners would spell jobs for us. We tried that and that was a joke. If they cannot answer a simple question are they just going to remain irrelevant?
