Do really intense, no holds barred, hardcore, martial arts training camps

actually exist? I have watched all to many movies in my time, and martial arts films are some of my favorites. Movies such as 36 Chambers of the Shaolin and Batman Begins (and many more) depict certain training camps that the protagonist find themselves in, essentially learning how to be the baddest man on the planet in more ways than one. It usually takes the main character many years to perfect their training, so I am not talking about any camps that last a couple months or weeks. Also the camps are extremely harsh and the training extremely demanding, therefore I am not talking about any "go at your own pace" type camps. The living conditions are usually very humble i.e. no hot showers or nice warm beds. These camps are brutal in every way, challenging the student beyond imagination, and crafting an unforgettable experience. I have seen such camps in fiction, and since I was a child, dreamed to belong to one, however I am starting to worry that they only exist in fantasy. I have taken many martial arts camps and classes and none have been what I am looking for. If you have participated in, or are in some way associated with a training camp that fits this description it would be immensely appreciated if you could provide some sort of means of contacting this organization.
