I have a 60 litre tank with a clown or tiger pleco - i dont know :) But some of my fish are going missing, with out a trace, they are fine and healthy looking one day and completely gone the next.
Have plecos (the smaller varieties) ever been known to kill other fish, i understand that they defiantly eat fish because before now ive seen a fish dead and my pleco picking at it. I feed him pleco pellets so if he is a killer its not because hes starved.. Can anyone help?

there maybe a lack of oxygen in the tank so its going crazy and maybe killing the fish, but its more likely that the water has some problem.

Ill advise you to test the water by getting a water testing kit.

Hope this works

Highly unlikely, the mouth is under slung on a plec, it can't strike. They have been known to suck slime coats, but they are starving when that happens.

Right enough they will dispose of the bodies, but it's unlucky fry that get sucked up not healthy fish that get killed.

Something else is the cause.

NOOOOOOOOOOO they don't. Plecos are probably the most peacful fish out there. Your problem is probably that another fish ate them. But there is one exception. If Your missing fish are smaller than the plecos mouth or close to it, then he might have got hungry and had a snack. The only other fish a pleco will attack is another pleco.
