W wonderer New member Nov 26, 2010 #1 Hi, I was wanting to get a Plasma Tv and was reading the details for it. One model said that backlight was not applicable. So I was wondering what backlight would do for plasmas? It it needed or not needed for Plasma tvs that are 42 inches?
