In my day if you could not afford the upkeep and the petrol then you did not get a car. It was the same with houses, if you could not afford one then you rented.
People seem to think Country owes them a living these days.
You have never had it so good.
And there was no such thing as Sick Leave.
No work no pay.
Mad Prof.... I paid for my state pension, never missed a stamp. I also paid into a private pension which I afforded by working shiftwork 7 days a week
