Do opossums eat corn or other garden vegetables?

I live in the suburbs, I don't think there are any raccoons around here and the yard is fenced (will keep deer out) , however there is an opossum that lives under my house. I'm wondering if I should even bother growing corn in my garden this spring. Also are there any other garden vegetables that opossums will eat?
