leave bruises? Now, let me start by saying that I have nothing against spanking at all...but recently I've seen a few questions here about it leaving bruises on a child, and was shocked at how many people were saying that it was absolutely fine for the parent to be hitting the child hard enough to leave a bruise, and that it wasn't abuse. I know that legally, it is considered child abuse if there are bruises, but I was shocked and a bit appalled at all the people saying it was okay. I just don't see how discipline should ever actually cause the child physical harm. Like I said, I don't think spanking is wrong, but beating them and leaving a bruise is. So do you agree that it is abuse, or do you actually think it's ok?
