Do "mormons" use victimization as a method to erase the racist passages from their

holy book? I am of course referring to 2 Nephi 5:21-25, 30:6 and Alma 3:6, where Native Americans are described as dark-skinned, cursed, verminous and loathsome.

Here's an answer I got to one of my questions by a "mormon" lady:

"I respect Native Americans as people and can relate to them too... we were both persecuted and stripped of rights, and we both know what it's like to be forced to move away from your native land"

Do you think this is a powerful method? It's the same method the Japanese Prime Minister used just recently (using the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings to turn the Japanese into mere victims) in an attempt to erase the heinous Japanese history of war crimes such as the Rape of Nanking and the use of Korean women as military sex slaves.
