Do MLB Infielders requst a specific gravel/grade around their base before a game?

I watch a fair amount of sports and now someone had the wise idea of trying to convince me of the above. I've never heard of Derek Jeter or Chipper Jones requesting a specific grade of gravel to be placed around there designated coverage area. Have you?
