Do Mediums/Spiritualists have genuine "abilities"?

I was talking to someone who said a non-profit "Spiritualist" told him that his son (who died a few years earlier) was trying to "Get through" to him that he's in a better place and doing okay. He also wanted to warn his father to see a doctor because he knew he has been having chest pains. (which this guy claims he was having at the time)

Anyway, I don't believe the medium/spiritualist was genuine. I don't believe any of them are genuine. That story I just told you is sound twisted to make it impossible to prove wrong.... or of course, it could all be very real and I could be wrong...

What is your take? have you experienced something similar? has a medium spoke to you and been bang on the spot with their "tellings"?
 
I am Psychic, Telepathic have seen things, heard things and known things...
There are many genuine Mediums or those of us with the active 6th sense who can see and/or hear this information about others from different sources, often times from a deceased love one
However,
Not all Spiritualist have the 6th sense or believe in it, they lean more towards a Philosophical and/or Religious nature
