Do LS3 Chevy V8's annoy you?

I hate how GM is making production engines so powerful for no reason. Why in the world would a Cadillac Escalade owner need a 403hp 6.2 liter small block for god sakes?! They used to put 345hp LS2's in them, which I thought was a great match for the vehicle.

I liked it in the 80's and 90's when American manufacturers were making less powerful engines then during the muscle car days, so someone with a stout 396 Chevelle making 350hp could brag about it. But thanks to the retards in GM engine development, you literally need 600hp to impress anyone nowadays.

Trucks need torque, not tons of HP. The Vortec 350's from 1996-2000 made a usable 255hp and 330 torque, which is just fine. My grandpa just bought an '07 Escalade with 403hp...my grandpa. Now anyone can just go buy a super hot LS3 from the showroom floor. The stupid new Corvettes have a hotter version of the LS3 with 430hp...430hp stock! Now all the cooler looking C4 and C5 Vettes are considered slow because of this. I hate GM so much.

If you build a hot 400hp 355 nowadays, who gives a crap?...not as good as a stock Corvette. Most people that buy new Corvettes are senior citizens. What in the world is wrong with a 300hp 5.7 LT-1 or 350hp LS1? They used to have a 405hp Z06 available if you wanted more power, and that made way more sense to me.

Is the next Cadillac Escalade gonna have a 1200hp 8.5 liter LS4 with twin turbos and factory direct port nitrous?

I think someone has LS3 envy lol.

No, it doesn't piss me off in the slightest way...I think it's GREAT GM makes one of the best V8's out there....400+power from the factory that can still knock down 20+MPG.

I'll take two thank you.
