You are charged for second-degree murder and after nine months of imprisonment, your lawyer gets you out from jail because he managed to reduce the charge to manslaughter so that by paying a bond you can be released. Does a lawyer get a commission from you because of that achievement? Is it common to pay commission for achievements? With commission I mean the extra pay besides the hourly pay, I mean the extra pay that the lawyer gets for having achieved one big goal.
