Do Judges undergo a training course before starting work?

I've always wanted to know, when a Judge is appointed to the bench, is there some sort of training course that he or she completes before starting to preside over cases?

I mean something above and beyond law school; I realize that obviously Judges go to law school and usually work as lawyers before becoming a Judge.
