My husband carries heavy bundles at work at lot. He feels like he is compressed and we were wondering if a inversion type equipment would help.
He doesn't really have alot of back pain, just some discomfort . . . like a good stretch would help but is just not enough. Any suggestions?

Those inversion tables don't have particularly good outcomes , and the treatments are expensive for something unproven. In some cases, they have caused much more damage than people thought that they could.
Unless you are positive that he has nothing going on in his back, other than needing a good stretch - ie, he has had an MRI or CT scan to clear his back , I would stay far away from them.
If he neeRAB a good stretch, send him for a massage instead...it's much safer.

I bought an inversion table a month ago and it hasn't helped. Went to my doctor yesterday and he said need to get an xray to see what's going on with my back. The only time it hurts is in the morning when I get up. Can't even bend down to give the cats some food. Gets better after about an hour. The table has not helped me:(
