No. Because suicide is a preventable death. If they paid it out then all sorts of people in financial trouble would be committing suicide to provide for their families.
 
yes the SGLI pays for suicide. i know a few people who have and their families collected the 500k or whatever size their policy was.
ALL that needs to be done is to show that the suicide was BECAUSE of the military. and thats not hard to do at all.
combat ptsd- directly because of military service. just hated your life - a lot of people in the military do because the life style sucks ass. got busted and was going to get a court martial - only the military does court martials, again because of hte military. because your wife left you - moret couples break up in the military tahn the civilian world.
thats pretty much just to show how easy it is to link it to military service.
at basic and safety briefs they'll tell you your SOL if you commit suicide, but thats like your parents telling you that if you make funny expressions your face will get stuck that way...its just to keep you from doing it.
