do i still have time to train for swimming for 2012 olympics?

You have time. 4 years is quite a while. But realistically, it's going to be tough. There are so many strong women already, and they aren't going away. But you CAN realistically make top 8, possibly win a national title, maybe make it in 2016 once you have 8 years of training under your belt. I'm not pessimistic, it's just after being there and having this dream, I've come to grips with reality. Its going to be tough. But with the right mindset and goals, you can do it, eventually.

You can qualify for trials at any time in the next four years. They don't have the cuts out yet, but you should start by trying to make a sectional meet this year, then maybe the junior nationals, nationals and then Olympic Trials. if you are serious about making the Olympics you want to have at least one national level meet under your belt or else it will be too overwhelming
 
4 years is tons of time to get in shape compete in events before Olympic qualifiers begin, so yes
