I got rid of my previous system which was two orion hp12.2 on a 2400hcca amp, subs got about 600watts each. System was pretty beastly lol. I right now have a 3 sub ported box. I originally was gonna put three hp12.2 on an orion hcca5000amp wired them to 1.34 ohms so each sub gets about 833 watts. I was wondering do i really need to pay 600 dollars to get 2500 x 1ohm with the Orion amp or would a cheaper Power Acoustik BAMF-5000/1d for 300 dollars do just well to power my subs. That would save me about 300 dollars and I just hope it can actually power them and not put fake numbers up and my subs get some weak amount of juice.

Off topic but If you guys have any system ideas for me- What three reasonly priced subs can I buy and Amp---My first Idea 3 hp12.2s on a Orion D5000amp, and please try to make it in a reasonable price range I cant afford three hcca`s lol.

Orion is a good company for subs amps no so much and Power acoustic is a mid level amp manufacturer and more often than not the output level is overrated you have to understand that if a amp say it can deliver 250rms it does not mean it can sustain that amount of output continuously,
My first suggestion get rid of all the s**t in your car then ask yourself
Why do you need three subs and a lot of useless crap to blow anything your Competition has.? all you need is one sub the Pioneer Premier Competition SPL Series TS-W5102SPL which will set you back around 550 USD its specs are 6,000 watts peak 2500 Watts RMS Interlaced Carbon fibre reinforced IMPP 3-layer woven radial rubber surrounds to eliminate distortion, even when you turn the volume up all the way Frequency Response: 18-2000 Hz & Pure Titanium voice coil former. To run this amp there is only one amp the HIFONICS BXI-2608D 2,600 WATT pure and tested Mono block amplifier which will be around 350 USD this is a pure Class D Competition amp and will give you outstanding performance.....Enjoy

Karan B, learn what your talking about before you start flaping at the jaws. You have no idea what RMS is, nor peak for that matter, your a twit, stupidity should be illegal!!!!!
Power Acoustik has a rep for making clean sounding amps that deliver the rms wattage that they say that they do. Also, rms wattage is what you want to look at nothing else. When they say the amp will give you 250 watts rms, you will get that all day every day. Karan has absolutely no clue, and has no idea of where to even think about buying one. Peak power rattings mean absolutely nothing. The BAMF 5500/1D I am using that for 1 Orion HCCA at 1 OHM. The 5500/1D gives you 3200 watts rms at 1 OHM so I am thinking that you will be more than fine with that amp.
