Do i purge the fuel line in a 1983 c10 chevy 6.2 diesel?

It ran perfect, I removed the intake and and fuel lines to reseal the valve covers. After i reassembled the engine it will turn over but not start, was i suppose to bleed or purge the fuel lines? Why isn't it starting?
