Do I, or Dont I find out the sex of the baby ?

Well, i'm pregnant with baby number 2, and with number 1 we didn't find out the sex.

People say its a nice surprise when baby comes out, but to be honest the last thing on my mind when baby popped out was surprises or what sex it was.

But all along with baby 2 i've said i've wanted to find out, but now with a couple of weeks to the next scan, i'm not so sure i want to know.

I want to know because of clothes, nothing to do with the nursery because thats going to be neutral beiges or the range "light of the moon" by mamas and papas which is unisex.

So, should i find out ?

You'll probably be more stressed not knowing it, because you have to buy all the right gender clothes and objects.

If you didn't know it, you'll have to buy the clothes and stuff after having the baby.

I'd want to know the gender.

ha ha i was having the exact same conversation in work yesterday wether to find out the sex of the baby. i asked most members of staff and most said they would rather wait, they said its fun trying to pick out boys and girls name where as if you no the sex of the baby everything is planned to a tee!! it depends on wether you want everything planned as in all the clothes, name, nursery to colour etc.
i personally would like to wait and have that surprise whereas my partner wants to no as he things its too long to wait lol
but what ever decision you make its your own, at the end of the day you will find out when its born anyway so whats the harm in knowing a little early!!
 
I found out this time (number 2) and I am so happy I did.
I didn't find out with my first because everyone was saying it was a great surprise once you finally deliver the baby. Surprise! No-one told me what I had!! The midwife came back over about 5 minutes after the baby had been handed to me and said ' did anyone tell you what you had?'. Ah, nope, they forgot that bit......LOL
I also wanted to find out as I had given away a lot of my really little neutral things and didn't want to go out and buy more clothing if I was having another boy.
Just remember, you don't have to tell anyone else. Tell them you desided not to find out!!
 
i would definitely want to know, it would be so much fun deciding on names, buying pink? or blue stuff?, the surprise would be nice but if you REALY think about it, lol the chances are 50/50 so in the end it cant really be THAT a surprise?
lol i just think it would be nice to know, and go shopping for your little boy or girl, or be talking about him or her.
 
i think you should find out it always fun buying the clothes and picking the name gives you something to do i didnt find out on my 1st but did on all the rest and had great fun picking the names and buying stuff.
 
When i have a baby im determined to find out the sex which everyone else has told me not to! But its up to you what you want to do. Weigh up the pros and cons of it. I want to find out so i can plan names and go out shopping for 9 months buying like all pink clothes or wateva, and i'd be more excited knowing the sex and being able to buy everything for the right sex! It's up to you!
