I have a 07 lincoln navigator and I am getting 2 L7 15 (2ohm) which will be ran by a zx2500.1. The navi comes with a THX Certified Audio, which comes with a 600watt system already (14 speakers total). Do I have to replace the component speakers and add a amp? From my research, the THX system is suppose to be high quality already but I would like to hear something more out of my system then just bass...any advice will be appreciated.

Note: I do not really want to replace the headunit or replace the speakers but looking for honest advice and opinions. thanks

i would say no considering that there are 14 of them and they are amped (but you never really know until you hook it up and crank the volume)- i would invest in some bass blockers to prevent dangerous low notes from reaching my inside speakers and damaging them http://www.crutchfield.com/g_761/Bass-Blockers.html?search=bass+blocker&tp=3216
looks good, but i would use a smaller amp/amps for those subs to lower the odds of frying them
