do i need to put the salsa (s) in the fridge?

my dad just got a shipment of salsa......do i need to put them in the fridge? they are unopened.

Hi: As long as the containers they are in are sealed, such as jars or hermetically sealed packages, you won't need to refrigerate. If they are ''fresh style'' salsas - usually sold in plastic tubs, those do require refrigeration. Check the labels, they often tell you when refrigeration is required.

It depends on the containers if they are glass jars with the metal caps then they don't need to be refrigerated until after opening.
