I'll be testing in 5 days and I'm just curious. I bought some pregnancy tests from the internet for very cheap, they were one set with the ovulation tests and the basal thermometer. The ovulation test works well, it immediately reacts when i was ovulating, but i'm not so sure about the pregnancy test, i was thinking of buying some more which is not as cheap.

So back to my question, how many do you buy and are they cheap or expensive?

Have you ever test a negative on the cheap one and positive on the not so cheap one? Thanks !

They all do exactly the same thing so go with the cheap ones! The only difference between some of the more expensive ones and the cheap ones is the timing of the test. With the cheap ones you need to leave 5 days (after your predicted period should have started), with some of the fancy ones you can test earlier around 3 days instead of 5... not much difference for a large difference in price tag! Some of the expensive ones have a more fancy display or tell you when you may have conceived.

What I did.... bought a pack of cheap ones.... when I got a positive result with a cheap one I bought an expensive one just to make sure! Its very rare for even the cheap ones to give a false negative (unless your testing too early).

Good luck!

I am the mother of five kids and my husband and I planned every pregnancy and I have had 5 miscarriages so I am basically an expert at pregnancy tests. lol! I have taken the cheap ones that cost $5.00 from our local grocery store and it came up positive when I was in fact pregnant and I have taken the expensive tests that gave me the correct results. All p.g test react off the HCG detected in the urine. If you test before your egg has been fertilized and implanted then you can get a false result. There were times when I just knew I was pregnant and the test said that I wasn't because I didn't have enough HCG in my urine. In my opinion, the best test to buy are the ones that clearly say pregnant/not pregnant because the other ones with the one or two lines can be hard to see especially if your only a few days pregnant it can be so faint that it almost looks negative. Good luck and I hope that you get pregnant shortly.
