do i need remote wire?

do i need a remote wire for my dvd headrests can i connect to just the battery? and will this drain my battery when the ignition is off? please help, many thanks.
its not powerful enough to drain battery when the car is on but just wanted to know if it will cut off the power supply when the ignition is off without a remote wire
 
well it should say in one of the junction connectors.

And if you don't want anything to drain your battery you can but a power converter.

It is a little bigger than a soda can.
