do I need a tetnus?

Hey all,
Just a quick one, whilst working on the inside of a telecoms cabinent in work today (very dusty) I managed to give myself a 2cm / 1/2inch cut on my left index finger with my screw driver

now this screw driver has been everywhere one could think of - the floor, in peoples ears (yes we are a IT crowd), peoples mouths, under the bonnet of my car, possibly everywhere on the planet including on the famous Merseyferries!

The cuts fine i think, its got cleaned out and had it covered all day, but what I want to know is it worth me going to my doctors and getting a tetnus booster, its been well over ten years!

Well, if it's been more than 10 years you may as well get one anyway. But whether you urgently need one for this cut depends on how deep it was. If it's just a surface scratch, there shouldn't be a problem. But if it's deep, especially if the edges of the wound are gaping away from one another, get the tetanus booster as soon as you can.
