do i need a permit for a haunted house? PLEASE ANSWER?

I was thinking of building a little haunted house in my drive way, nothing too big, but it will conclude wood dividers to make a maze-like hallways. it will be about 8 feet tall, and i am not sure how wide yet. i was wondering if i would need some sort of permit to make this Haunted House and people to walk through it. there will also be fun and games for the little kids to enjoy there halloween also, and im thinking of having a costume contest, face paint stand, and little games and contest to win candy. please please please can someone find out if there are permit i need to get to do this? i reside in Castro Valley CA area code 94546 THANK YOU
