I'm planning on buying a new phone from TMobile, either just a smartphone, or an Android. I just wanted to make sure that I can use WiFi instead of being charged for a data plan. The website says that data plans are required to use each phone, but I think it may be okay to use without the data plan. I just want to be able to log on to my mail, and surf the web, etc, without paying for a data plan. Will they charge me on the bill because I'm using one of their phones without a data plan?
Do I need a data plan with TMobile in order to use an Android/smartphone?
