Do I have to take the sat and act tests?

I'm a junior and after high school I'm planning to go to a culinary school or at least a university with culinary programs. I don't know if I still need to take the sat and act tests because I don't see the need for it. But should I take it?

Tell me if you know a good culinary school or university with cheap tuition. Thank you(:
 
To be admitted to any college you need to have an ACT or SAT score. Which test you want to take depends on the school you are planning to go to. Schools on the east and west coasts generally prefer the SAT whereas the central U.S. schools generally prefer the ACT. Talk to your high school counselor about your individual plans and what you need to do to prepare for and take the SAT/ACT.
