Do I have to study to pass Rn licensing test after being inactive? Has any one done

this? I am an RN--BSN, but have had an inactive license for 10 years. I want to reactivate my license which requires re-taking state boards again (they really do not make it easy for good nurses to return to work force after raising kids, do they?). I would like to just jump in and sit for the test without prep classses or months of study. Do I stand a ghost of a chance--has anyone done this? Perhaps, it would be worth the $200 fee to evaluate my weak points and maybe I would get lucky and pass.
